Updated: Sep 25, 2020

Today's video shows in a very clear way how we can become trapped and lose ourselves in a victim mentality. It offers very simple but powerful tools to shift our perception and to regain our inner-power. Discover with me through this video and this blog how to use your sufferings to grow, expand and to become free. Discover how a shift in perception can change your whole world.

“We can let the circumstances of our lives harden us so that we become increasingly resentful and afraid, or we can let them soften us, and make us kinder. You always have the choice.” ~ Dalai Lama

The Purpose of Suffering:

According to the Beings of Light: "Nothing in the Universe lacks purpose." So let's see why suffering might be important.

There were long periods of time in my life where I experienced illness, loneliness, sadness, anger, fear, hate and deep depression, despite being able to communicate with Beings of Light. The problem was that I had been through so many sufferings that I couldn’t see beyond my pain. So one day when I was in deep despair I asked the Beings of Light, what was I doing here? And they answered, "You are here to experience pure Joy."

Then I replied, "So if that is what I am doing here, why am I suffering?" "Suffering is the tool you have chosen to see your hidden side, because deep within yourself you know that it will shake you so hard that you will wake up," they answered.

We seek what we think we lack and we will keep seeking until we realize that we lack nothing, but sometimes to get there we go through excruciating pain. Unfortunately most of the time only by experiencing deep contrast is when we finally wake up. Our uniqueness as humans serves the great purpose of offering to us and to others enough contrast for us to see our hidden side. Our main purpose in life is to remember our True Nature, so without consciously knowing, we chose experiences that would get us there.

No long ago as I was wondering about the relevance of time the Beings of Light said to me, "The purpose of time is to help you remember..." our life experiences through time are the door for us to remember who we truly are.

Suffering is a tool that can shake someone so hard that sooner or later that being will not find another way other than surrendering (it is like touching bottom) and through this process of surrendering is when the ego finally cracks open and the true nature of the Self is rediscover (The ego is the idea that we are separated from others and that idea makes us feel alone and fearful). It doesn't always have to be painful, but that is the path that many of us choose to follow, Like Eckhart Tolle says, "Suffering is needed until it is not needed anymore."

Once we become aware of our True Nature, which is that of Universal Unconditional Love any boundaries disappear. In essence there is not you and me, there is not life or death, there is not sickness or health... Once awaken we will realize that JOY and LOVE is all there is.

Suffering only happens in the absence of Light and clarity, once the Light is fully ON suffering ends. Challenges will continue because they are the engine for us to make new choices and through these choices we grow and expand, but through the Light of Awareness we will not see these challenges as suffering, but as worth living adventures.

What would be the spice of live is there was not challenge? If you see little kids they love to be challenged and to challenge others because they know that their expansion and growth is there.

Suffering can become our greatest teacher and our door to awakening. Today I will not trade any of my past suffering for anything because they guided me to wake up. Like Rummi said, "The wound is the place where the Light enters you." After my big awakening seven years ago I have discovered that we don’t need to die to go to Heaven because Heaven is here and now. Today I love myself even with my so called "illnesses and weaknesses," which I don't call that way, for all of it makes me the unique being I am.

“There is one aspect to our experience of suffering that is of vital importance. When you are aware of your pain and suffering, it helps you to develop your capacity for empathy, the capacity that allows you to relate to other people’s feelings and suffering. This enhances your capacity for compassion towards others. So as an aid in helping us connect with others, it can be seen as having value.” ~ Dalai Lama

"As I became aware of the vastness of infinite life and possibilities existing beyond me the more unimportant and insignificant the small chapter of my life became; until I was finally able to break free from the walls of the repetitive story of “me” and “why me?” that I had created. That very day a lifetime of depression simply ended, and has never come back."
